The vibration frequency used in the reported experiments ranged from 17.5 kHz to 44 kHz. Experiments on the effect of vibration frequency appeared only in one paper (Petrukha et al., 1970) and the data are plotted in Figure 6. As the vibration frequency increases from 24.5 to 43.5 kHz, the MRR, the tool wear and the surface roughness increase. |
